6 STEPS TO ACHIEVING A HIGHER GOAL IN YOUR LIFE.
If you are a goal setter & you are reading my blog, you are obviously a high achiever & wanting to improve yourself or your business by learning new techniques, so I hope the following will help you to do just that.
After recognizing that I would get so stressed by goal setting that I would quite often, play mind games & use some excuse to ambush my efforts of accomplishing my targets. Does this sound familiar?
But, I have found that by using this goal strategy & following it strictly I can achieve my goals. So developing a habit of setting & achieving these goals, will & now have benefited me for life.
So I would like to share this strategy with you just in case you have the same struggle as I did.

1. DECIDE THE GOAL YOU WANT & WRITE IT DOWN IN A WAY THAT YOU CAN MONITOR IT
Choosing a high-value goal will change your life, increase your income, or improve you work performance or could also improve the industry you work in. This goal could make your life
Be very specific when choosing this goal so you can monitor the journey. Write it down for clarity & reference.
Make a deadline for achievement of this goal & stick to it. Making note how you will do this & monitoring & evaluating your progress for this achievement.
eg. “I will lose 5 kilograms or pounds by (date).” — the amount & date are important.
2. MAKE A LIST OF STEPS TO TAKE TO GET TO YOUR GOAL
eg. Committing to losing weight-
• Walking thirty minutes per day
• Do jym classes twice a week
• Enjoy a healthy salad for lunch every day
3. ASSIGN DEADLINES TO EACH STEP
Set Deadlines! These make goals happen!
Commit to this with self discipline. Do not deviate at all.
4. WRITE IT IN YOUR DIARY & MAKE IT ON YOUR CALENDAR (COMMITMENT)
By putting it into your calendar you will commit to this goal. Usually when its on your calendar, it will get done as you cannot slot anything else into this time then. So don’t deviate.
5. JUST DO IT, NO MATTER WHAT ELSE!
Don’t use excuses. You will only cheat on yourself. No one else. Don’t let anyone spoil your dreams. You don’t deserve that. You deserve more for your hard work.
6. WATCH & MONITOR YOUR PROGRESS
Do this regularly. Even weekly to see you are on track & make alterations if needed.
Ask yourself at the end of each week:
• “Did I complete the steps needed for this week, by the date I have set?”
• “Am I on track with this plan?”
• “If not, what went wrong?”
• “How can I improve?”
Goal setting & following of strategies takes commitment and constant monitoring, but it’s extremely effective.
The benefits of setting & following your goals will benefit you in so many ways & can definitely change your life.
These 6 Steps for goal setting, will help you achieve your higher goals.
